First Visit and In-home Assessment-- No Charge and No Obligation

Each of our WellsBrooke clients experiences the benefit of a Wellsbrooke assessment. When the assessment is scheduled, you can expect a WellsBrooke team member to come to your home and meet you personally. This first meeting is a great opportunity for us to get to know you better, and there is no obligation or charge.

The first visit is designed for you, our clients, to learn:

What services you will receive from WellsBrooke
What you can expect from the caregiver
What you can do if you have questions or concerns about our services

The first visit is also a time for the WellsBrooke staff to learn:

More about you, the client
As much as possible about your likes and dislikes
More details about your special needs


Because the WellsBrooke staff gathers information from you and gets to know you on a personal level, we are better prepared to carefully choose the best caregiver for your specific needs. WellsBrooke also custom designs a care plan to fit your unique situation and needs. How is an agency like WellsBrooke different from having a friend or neighbor stay with you? While your friend or neighbor may be reliable, in most cases they don't have the resources to provide a "back-up plan". At WellsBrooke, we also seek reliable caregivers for our team and, in the rare event that our staff member cannot make their scheduled visit because of family emergency, illness, or unforeseen circumstances, we can offer another caregiver to ensure that our clients always receive the attention they need.

Communication - Our Commitment to Your Peace of Mind

WellsBrooke provides comfort and peace of mind to the families of those who receive our service. They appreciate not only the high quality of care, but also the emphasis WellsBrooke places on good communication, especially in keeping the family informed.

With every case that is opened, WellsBrooke begins the communication process by delivering a packet that includes important numbers and contacts for family members. Each new client receives a file tote in which case documentation forms are kept. Our home health aides or nurses fill out a form each time they are in the home. These documents can present a quick snapshot of the activities and services that take place while our staff is in the home, and they are always available for review by the client.

The WellsBrooke staff is trained to alert family members with important changes or concerns that they note while administering service. In addition, WellsBrooke makes it a point to respond to clients and their family members' concerns promptly.

Staff Supervision at No Charge - Ensures Quality Care to All Clients

WellsBrooke feels strongly that regular in-home supervisory visits maintain the highest quality of professional home care for our clients. Supervisory visits are conducted by a WellsBrooke nurse or other management staff. During the visit, the WellsBrooke supervisor reviews the care plan with you to confirm that you are happy with the service that you are receiving, or, if appropriate, suggests changes to better meet your needs. Supervisory visits also offer you the added benefit of forming a strong, productive liaison with us.

Caregiver Screening and Selection - Delivering Quality Home Care Services is Dependent upon the Quality of the Staff

Only 30% of the People Who Apply Meet WellsBrooke's High Standards

To make certain that only the finest care is given, full-time recruiters are dedicated to actively seek candidates who meet WellsBrooke's high standards.

In order to qualify for employment, all candidates must have previous caregiver experience or training
Potential employees must pass our thorough background and reference checks
Candidates must agree to undergo random drug testing, if requested
Validity of candidate licensure is verified before hire and currency of employee licensure is tracked daily
Candidates are evaluated by nursing supervisors before hire

WellsBrooke's health care experts are covered by professional liability insurance and are bonded. All taxes, Worker's Compensation and unemployment insurance are provided by WellsBrooke.

The WellsBrooke Training and Certification Program was developed to enhance caregivers' skills in areas of social and client interaction. The training is "client-centric," and develops skills for WellsBrooke staff in several key areas:


Etiquette and manners in the home care setting
Integrity, character and respect: What it means to a caregiver
Proper interaction with family members, neighbors and friends
Skill builders: Meal preparation and household chores
Dealing with difficult behaviors
